ITV2
ITV launched its first new digital channel , known as ITV2 on the 7 of December 1998. This channel was designed in order to entertain and show movies. The channel aims the audience between 16-34 of age. This is because they tend to show American programmers like Gossip girls and the vampire diaries ,American dad. This is a great way to entertain the younger generation by engaging them into different programmers with different themes. This is also another great way to get them double screening by watching the channel while using social media apps. ITv2 had various logo in the past with the same written but different colour. ITV2 then decided to create a man vs machine developing set of new on screen indent that is controlled by an algorithm which can create different types of permutations.
ITV2 has different ident which is presented during different TV commercial. The best thing about ITV2 ident is that they speech through it and give you snick peek of what's going to happen next . This is presented in Love island commercial break where they use Two parrots in order to give people a brief summary of what could possibly happen. This two parrot have seen to be entertain the younger generation as they make joks.
The overall ident purpose for the channel is to make people laugh and keep them watching the advert so they can use things like parrots to give you snick peak of what's next .
BBC/News - They gather national daily news ,business,political and current affairs programs on BBC radio .
The target audience for this channel is adult who are aged 35 and over. The point of BBC radio is to get people interest by giving them the daily high quality distinctive output and service that can easily e entertain them or educating them. The ident has different elements of flag designs , such as coloured stars, crosses parallel lines and rectangular colored flag .

As we can see from the link above ITV2 uses they programmes that are going to be aired on channel to create idet to entertain they audience. For instance the first link shows the old tv ident for love island this hasn't really change in years as they have the same background but with different people. This is because they want to present the new people who are going to be seen in the show in order to get the audience distracted by thinking who is nicer or beautiful .
ITV2 also has used this ident for a long time for most of their commercial break . This tv ident is mostly used to give the audience a brief understanding of what's presented next by having a voice over it. This specific ident is targeted for the younger generation from 16-40 .
